Yesterday we had the vet out to check on Ray now that he's 12 weeks, and as a side question, we asked Nicole to palpate Mist for us to check on her progress. We'd been a little nervous that the stress of the trip to LCS might have affected her pregnancy. Well, no worries! The baby is doing great. Nicole not only palpated, she did an ultrasound, and all is well. I'm starting to understand exactly why Heather named her first foal from Casey "Anticipation"--the waiting is absolutely excruciating. The cross to Rainman represents a very nice line cross, not to mention that this colt or filly (please, filly) will be Rainman's sole offspring, so we're just champing at the bit to see what we get.
